cant make barbarian level 2

Description

cant generate level 2 barbarian.

(have marked as critical because "save" will destroy data)

steps to reproduce:

select race human, asign all bonuses feats etc.
select class barbaian on summary page , add 1 rank, assign all skills feats etc.

select class barbaian on summary page , add 1 rank,
the rank doesn't appear to add, a
"select a rage power" comes up in "things to do" ( I cant figure out how to do that )
hitpoints and other rank indicators do not appear to change,

subsequently the gui seems to go to pieces, any attempt to complete a level 2 barbarian seems doomed.
attempts to save the character result in an empty file.

have retried with sun java, seems to make no difference, everything seems to work acceptably with other classes at first level.

anyway, when I tried to go past level 1 I got this diagnostic
I was was clicking on the [+] button on the summary page below the label "Add Levels:" with its numeric entry box,
I used that same button to add the initial level of barbarian.

Jason, could you retry this in 5.17.12 please? Many bugs were fixed in that version and I believe this was one of them.

PS: Once things are working you should be able to click on any item in "Things to do" and it will take you to the appropriate location.
