I added a custom spell:
Orlanth's Essence Of Death I TYPEivine CLASSES:Cleric=1[PREDEITY:1,Orlanth] SCHOOL:Necromancy DESCRIPTOReath COMPS:V, S CASTTIME:1 standard action RANGE:Touch TARGETAREA:Living creature touched DURATION:Instantaneous SAVEINFO:Fortitude partial SPELLRES:Yes DESC:2d6+(min(5,CASTERLEVEL)) damage upon touch attack, save for 1d3+(min(5,CASTERLEVEL)).|!PRERULE:1,DisplayFullSpell
Orlanth's Essence Of Death I.MOD DESC:You channel Orlanth's power of death to damage any one living creature. You must succeed on a melee touch attack to touch the target. The target takes 2d6+(min(5,CASTERLEVEL)) points of damage. If the target's Fortitude saving throw succeeds, it instead takes 1d3 points of damage + (min(5,CASTERLEVEL)). The subject might die from damage even if it succeeds on its saving throw.|PRERULE:1,DisplayFullSpell
Then as a test I created a level 1 cleric who worships Orlanth, being careful to not add the first level of cleric until after I had selected the deity.
Strangely the spell did not show up on the Spells | known spells sub tab (right-hand side). It did show up on the left.
Even more strangely, when I added a 2nd level of cleric it did show up on the right. Not a big deal. But weird.

Move PREDEITY to a standalone tag.
Nothing to really address. PREDEITY does work where implemented, but this is a code bug about a homebrew item that cannot be reproduced easily. As most of the code is undergoing a major overhaul as we begin the re-do how items work, this seems to be a non-issue.
