This is my first post, so I apologise if this is a known issue.
I'm using PCGen 6.6.1 on Windows 10 Pro. My screen resolution is 3840x2160, so I use a scaling factor of 225% or 250% as a rule. When I first install PCGen, the UI appears at the expect size; however, after a restart, the UI appears tiny, as though bypassing the Windows scaling system. This makes it impossible to use without reducing the display resolution, which I don't want to keep having to do.
I've attached an image as an exemplar.
Windows 10
From the FAQ: I was able to workaround this issue by going into the compatibility properties of the PCGen shortcut and setting the "Override high DPI scaling behavior" to System. This was tested on Windows 10.
Can we address a fix for this before the 6.08 release coming up in two months?
As a matter of fact I did a little experimenting. I recently found that if I run PCGen directly from the .jar file then the UI appears correctly, whereas if I use the .exe file to launch the program then it opens in the minuscule window shown above. I changed the target of the shortcut I have on my desktop to the .jar file and PCGen has worked fine ever since.
Hopefully that will help with tracking down the bug.
