Various small improvements to the epic and non-epic artifacts

Description

There are minor improvements (and a few bug corrections) that could be made to the artifacts in the epic and non-epic RSRD.

Artifacts, General

  • Change instances of "Standard" on weapons to "Specific".

  • Add Book type to the Book of Infinite Spells and the Librams, Manuals, and the Codex

  • Remove Unique type from the Golem Armor and Invulnerable Coat since all Major Artifacts are unique, and these two are the only ones with that type. Or, one could add Unique to all of the Major artifacts.

Hammer of Thunderbolts

  • [BUG]: Change damage from 4d8 to 4d6.

  • Remove duplicate "Magic" type.

  • Add PLUS3W and RETRN to the EQMOD; use MAGIC_COST to zero it out. (Remove +3 enhancement later and duplicated SPROP.)

  • Masterwork, Enhancement now redundant as provided by the PLUS2W.

  • Add Ranged.Thrown to the Types. (Both are used by the Hammer, Light, and similar thrown items.)

  • Add RANGE:30

  • Add SPROP:Strikes dead any giant upon whom it scores a hit (Fort DC 20 negates the death effect but not the damage)

  • Add SPROP:When hurled, on a successful attack the hammer emits a great noise causing all creatures within 90 ft to be stunned for 1 round (Fort DC 15 negates)

Moaning Diamond

  • SPROP:Can summon an elder earth elemental with max HP that serves the caster until it is slain. Only one such elemental can be summoned at a time; if it is slain, a new creature cannot be summoned for 24 hours.

Orb of Dragonkind (Gold)

  • [BUG]: Each of the borrowed 'innate spells' should be 1/day, not 1/round since "The owner of the gold Orb can call upon any power possessed by one of the other Orbs ... but can only use each individual power once per day"

Saint's Mace

  • Remove duplicate "Magic" type.

  • [BUG]: Add PLUS5W (current bonus is +3)

  • Add LAW_M, HOLY_M, and DISRPT to EQMODS; use MAGIC_COST to zero it out. (Remove later enhancements and duplicated SPROPs.)

  • Add SPELLS:Magic Item|TIMES=ATWILL|CASTERLEVEL=20|Searing Light,14

  • Since it "appears to be a simple, well-used cudgel" but just "functions as a heavy mace", could make its weight 3 lbs. (as a club) instead of 8 lbs (as a heavy mace).

Shadowstaff

  • Add Staff type

  • Add BONUS:CHECKS|Reflex|4 and BONUS:COMBAT|AC|4 ("granting him a +4 bonus to AC and Reflex saves (which stacks with any other bonuses)")

  • Add SPROP:In bright light or in absolute darkness, the wielder takes a -2 penalty on all attack rolls, saves, and checks.

Shield of the Sun

  • Add PLUS5S EQMOD, remove duplicate types and BONUSes

  • Remove BONUS:EQMARMOR|ACCHECK|1|TYPE=Enhancement as covered by magic item enhancements.

Staff of the Magi

  • Add Staff type

Golem Armor
SPROP:Cannot regain hit points by any means (mundane or magical) while the armor is worn. It requires 1 hour to don or extract oneself from Golem Armor.
