Wizard: cannot create familiar

Create new character and after choosing Wizard class, choosing to create a familiar gives no choices for companion animal. If Improved Familiar is chosen, only those three species show up.

I've done some further testing and this does not work in 6.03.05 but does work in 6.03.06. I suspect it was to do with define changes in 35e code. so I'll move this to data as fixed.

This works fine for me if I choose the "SRD 3.5 for Players" source. I get a choice of bat, cat, hawk etc. I've attached a sample character.

I've also confirmed it works with the following source combinations:

  • Dungeons & Dragons Revised (v.3.5) System Reference Document

  • 3.5 RSRD - Campaign Set - Core Book I

  • 3.5 RSRD Basics, 3.5 RSRD Monsters, 3.5 RSRD Divine, 3.5 RSRD Epic

So, there must be something specific to the way you are doing things. Could you attach a character that demonstrates the issue please and a log file from the session in which you created the character.

I must be doing something wrong, because a clean install of 6.03.03 gives me the same issue.

Stupid me - forgot to mention. This is using D&D 3.5. None of the various sources I have tried to load have worked to allow creation of a familiar. I have loaded the complete 3.5 RSRD, and have also tried it with loading Basic, Epic, Dive, and Monsters. Campaign set Books I-III also fails to allow familiar creation.source.

I am checking to see if this works in 6.03.03, as a previous ticket states. If it works in the alpha, then it means that something might have broken in the ensuing updates.
