Description

I think that the "Hard To Fool" advanced rogue talent from Ultimate Combat is mislabeled as "Hard Minded."

Two different abilities with the exact same name, that's no good.

APG - Once per day, a rogue with this talent can roll two dice while making a Sense Motive check, and take the better result. She must choose to use this talent before making the Sense Motive check. A rogue can use this ability one additional time per day for every 5 rogue levels she possesses.

UC - A rogue with this talent is hard to fool with mind-affecting effects. At the start of her turn, if she is still subject to any mind-affecting spells or effects, she can make a Will saving throw with a standard DC for the effect's level, and if she succeeds at the check, she is no longer subject to the mind-affecting effect. She can make this saving throw even against mind-affecting effects that normally don't allow a saving throw. In those cases, generate the saving throw as if the spell or effect did allow a saving throw.

Talented Rogue - Once per day, a rogue with this talent can roll two dice while making a Sense Motive check, and take the better result. She must choose to use this talent before making the Sense Motive check. A rogue can use this ability one additional time per day for every 5 rogue levels she possesses.

ACG (Slayer) - %1 times per day, a slayer with this talent can roll two dice while making a Sense Motive check, and take the better result. She must choose to use this talent before making the Sense Motive check.|SlayerHardtoFoolTimes

Hard Minded (Ex): A rogue with this talent is hard to fool with illusions. Looks like an Errata - Hard Minded (Ex): A rogue with this talent is hard to fool with illusions. She automatically receives a save to disbelieve any illusion she can see each round at the start of her turn, even if she hasn't interacted with it. If she fails a saving throw against an illusion that is not to disbelieve, she can attempt to save again 1 round later at the same DC. She gets only one extra chance to succeed at her saving throw.

So I guess the name change is correct...but the text for this trait should be updated in the data set to the new illusion version?

The name change of the UC talent from "Hard to Fool" to "Hard Minded" to escape the problem of two talents with the same name was part of the UC errata issued along with the second printing of the book on January 22, 2014. That errata has been subsequently incorporated into PCGen's data files.

The change to the way the the talent works, however, was part of the errata issued with the third printing of UC on August 20, 2015. This errata has, as fas as I know, not yet been incorporated into PCGen's data files.

We should this recent errata this to our To-Do-List, probably along with the recent errata also issued to the ACG and ARG.
