Metaforge's level contribution to var: AstralSuitPrereqLVL

Metaforge's level contribution to var: AstralSuitPrereqLVL doesnt apply while choosing Astral Suit Customizations.
My character is Aegis 3/ Soulknife 3/ Metaforge 3 and I've got Student of the Astral Suit feat, so his var: AstralSuitPrereqLVL should equal 10 (3+3+4).
I cannot apply any customization requiring astral suit level higher than 7 - that means the feat works just fine.
