I tried adding a rock throwing option to a character. It does not seem to work correctly.
On the bestiary it seems whomever has a rock throwing capacity just uses plain dexterity to hit and then hits like a two handed weapon with 1+½ strength. On the advanced race guide it says it gives people +1 to hit and the 1½ strength. On the character sheet i see the +1 (which offsets the -1 and thus would explain the overall "plain dexterity"). But it also seems to apply a -4 for an improvised throw and i see no extra strength bonus.
I know that ... well ... improvised weapons impose a penalty, but it seems to me that unless i make a "pet rock" (and i see no way of making one with your character builder) then i will always have that -4 to hit? Should not the "rock throwing" ability make me proficient with throwing rocks?
I am providing a mock character for this problem (also showing a problem i had with the brawler's flurry but that is covered as a different bug ticket). Emphasis on "mock". I was just being silly. I hope you'll have a laugh with me.

Is this a giant? Otherwise please cite what "rock throwing" actually is from. Is this a Race Builder option? Otherwise, to my knowledge, throwing rocks is an improvised weapon.
Yes, it is a race builder option:
Rock Throwing (3 RP): Prerequisite: Large size; Benef it: Members of this race are accomplished rock throwers and gain a +1 racial bonus on attack rolls with thrown rocks. A member of this race can hurl rocks up to two categories smaller than its size. A “rock” is any large, bulky, and relatively regularly shaped object made of any material with a hardness of at least 5. A thrown rock has a range increment of 120 feet. The creature can hurl the rock up to five rage increments. Damage from a thrown rock is 2d6 plus 1-1/2 times the throwing creature’s Strength bonus.
You'll need to create a correctly sized rock with the damage of 2d6, but the rest is now working. (proficient)
