Trying to create an aasimar cleric. PCGEN forces me to choose a domain alternative inquisition. Instead of being able two choose 2 different domains I can only choose one.

If you create a cleric with race Aasimar, pcgen forces you to select one domain and a domain alternative ~ inquisition instead of being able to select two domains.

I tried the same with race dwarf. Then I can select (as it is correctl two domains.

I did not choose any subtype like inquisitor, just the base cleric class.

btw, if you need someone who can do some testings for you, I would be glad to support you.

I have been module test coordinator for the front end of a bank and Phase Manager Functional UAT, but I have done many testings on my on as well. I am a banker though and not able to program any Software, but if you look for someone who can Support you looking for an issue or translating stuff into German I am your man (or woman\;)

Iris, please give the latest version a test and see if that sorted it out.

The steps taken sound complicated to reproduce a specific issue. Error log? Race Condition? worth pursuing if we’re going to revamp the UI?

Andrew, I tested again with 6.08.00RC2 this time. Issue is solved.

I guess it had something to do with the alignment of the follower which was before preselected by PCGEN as the same alignment that the main char had.

The flow was not really that complicated.

  • Create a main char of any race and any class. It has to be at least Level 7.

  • Assign leadership feat to that char.

  • Go to companions tab

  • click “follower” → “create new” → “Switch to”

  • create a cleric of any race

  • in the older Versions System has set the alignment of that cleric automatically to the alignment of the main char. In 6.08.00RC2 “None” is preselected. If you choose an alignment + a deity, things work fine now. You can now choose channel negative/positive energy depending on the alignment.

So you can close this as fixed now.

Thanks a bunch. \:)

Best regards

Right, then that was the Global Var deal that Tom fixed. Excellent to hear it’s fixed.

And yes, if you wish to be a QA Monkey, we can always use someone to test our creations.

You can join our Discord - (I’ll need your email to grant access to the Slack team chat. But I can collect that on Discord)
