Talking about v5.5.6 / RSRD:
Today it is possible to get "unarmed strike" as
noncost, equippable weapon im the gearlist, so you get
the calculation printed out on the Output sheet. This
is nice and handy.
The same is true for the "flurry of blows" and
"grapple" types of attack.

I would like to see both "Disarm" and "Trip attack"
also added.
Maybe it's not even additional coding, but only an
extension of the data?

Specialties:
Certain weapons add bonuses only to these attacks: Sai
= +4 to disarm. Hooked Chain = +4 to trip.
Both can be based on an unarmed attack or on a weapon
attack.
Certain feats improve them by +4.
Bonus +4 due to two handed weapon or -4 for light weapon.

Eddy, I think we can use this tracker for the Combat Sheet you proposed at
the last BOD meeting. As such, work on this can continue during the Beta
Phase.

I'd recomend this be moved to outputsheet FREQs, what we ave there now
is slightly flawed (unless it was fixed recently), I don't think it should
be
done as equipment.

Grapple attacks are initiated with a touch attack but there after they are

handled with a Grapple check with does not benefit from attack bonuses. I

think our current OS block for this is flawed.

Well, grapple can also use an item that give bonus so in
effect, what we display on the OS sheet is the equivalent of
BAB for Grapple. Same thing could be done with disarm I
guess although you are right, it does have a lot more
validation from one weapon to another.

I guess we will need extra little boxes under the weapon for
Grapple, Trip and Disarm when applicable. I also think it is
about time we do something so the entries that are not
applicable do not get displayed in there.

THis is NOT the same as unarmed strike or grapple. Both of
those are "the" attack. Disarm and trip both "use" something
to do the attack. U can use an unarmed strike (-4 for light
weapon) in a disarm attack, but u can also use a two-
handed sword(+4 for two-handed) to get differing result.
Both of these are most likely going to be new TAGS applied to
the weapons or the like right now I am in the moiddle of the
prep for RC2 of the stable I'll look at this when I get more
time and can do some serious thinking.

Eric, please take a look at this and do a reality check for me,
and see if I am missing something. I was thinking we need to
add a TAG to each weapon maybe you will think of another
simpler way.

So Disarm can be done the same way as Grapple. Simple
and easy (data and OS change)
Trip is a little different, so the data team needs to come
up with a method of tracking the trip 'Strength check with
special bonuses'.

comment from me:
As stated on p. 155 of the PHB, to disarm you "make opposed
attack rolls with your respective weapons". To me that is a
very "normal" attack roll, based on BAB and all the rest.
Only the bonus are special.
For Trip I agree, that it is actually a combination (see p.
158 PHB) of 1. unarmed melee touch attack and 2. Strength
check with special bonuses.

The problem with Disarm and Trip attempts is that the actual
disarm or trip event (after the tohit is done) has nothing
to do with BAB or normal tohit bonuses, etc.
Thus the "new" part of these attacks has to be something
unrelated to the current attack output. The data team needs
to come up with a scheme to track the disarm and trip based
bonuses. The OS team needs to come up with a way to get that
info on the output sheets.
The data team needs to stand by and watch
