I wanted to let you know that I appreciated your question about how to improve PCGen for use on the boards, and I've been trying to think of what to suggest.
Most importantly, of course, is the continued work everyone is doing towards improving the program generally and adding sources. One difficulty is when a particular feat, trait, or racial option is not available in PCGen, so that the output needs to be rejiggered each time with large and small changes.
I don't know if there is a way around it, especially with the tremendous ongoing volume of material that Paizo is churning out. I suppose that some (probably really difficult to create...) temporary feature customizer might someday be necessary, much like an extended item customizer.
An easier short-term feature would be to create some additional export formats for the Paizo boards. As a small effort, I made a Classes/Levels line of information, as is commonly used:

That seems to cover the most accessed information, except for weapon information that is probably best added by the player, anyway, and the special case information (e.g. "+2 vs. illusions") that could be put in a spoiler.
Tandaroa was working on one Paizo output sheet for the boards, so he might be a good first place to go for a sheet.
While his is deliberately very much like a Paizo NPC stat block, there might be some features to make it more useful for PCs. One aspect of playing PbP is that you may have multiple different characters going at once and a scenario may take 6 weeks to play through, so keeping track of things like "Did I use both of my prepared Protection from Evils?", "How many arrows to I have left?", "How many Channel Energies do I have left?", and "What equipment do I currently have 'borrowed' from others or from what we have found in the scenario?"
I have found that a 'spoiler' section near the bottom - easy to scroll to and edit on the fly - with "Spells Prepared; Abilities, Equipment, and Money remaining, and Equipment Borrowed" is very handy, like this:
