To facilitate browsing races and making more info available to make a considered choice, just as 'DESC' was recently added, can the following be also added to the detail of any selected race. Some of these may be considered for the main select screen (part of the list pane) display ?
I'm sure those can be added easily, however for completeness, I'd propose that all the race tags be displayed, so that the full information is available (this will also help with homebrew debugging). The following only want to appear if they are actually set for the race.
BONUS (all non stat related, as that's already in the list pane)
Then can I suggest the debugging sheet in preview? I have included several such things, and I can add more. Which would be a bit more feature rich since it would not be focused on just the "race", which has had several things moved from the traditional race line to ability and template objects due to dynamic swapping that Pathfinder has implemented.
well, yes - if the debug sheet can include all the joicy detail, that would be great and I'd be happy to use it for the additional detail.
However I'd still like some of the 'basic' features - such as vision & move to be on the race tab, as they can be handy when selecting a new character.
Again, that only would work if the RACE includes such objects. Pathfinder doesn't. Most of the newer stuff I code personally things like vision is now var based, and soon to follow will be movement modes. In keeping with pcgen's role, it's to aid in creating a playable race (or npc), but you should already have an idea of the race before hand. I use my books before deciding on a character.
Race is bare bones these days
One Ability which controls the granting of the rest of the abilities
A single movement mode
and not too much else
monsters have more since they tend to be more immutable, unlike the playable races.
Fair enough, lets ditch this request and ensure the the debug sheet includes as much as is actually possible to include.
For the record, I'm more interested in 3.5 than Pathfinder, though I'd assume the debug sheet covers both equally.
Review the debug sheet, and let me know what is missing from your list.
I will give this some work as time permits.
